The AIAA Student Conference is a technical paper competition for AIAA student members at both undergraduate and graduate (Master’s) levels. Students from regional schools are invited to submit papers and give formal presentations that are judged for technical content and communication skills. The AIAA has established three divisions for competition: Undergraduate, Master’s, and Team.  Awards of $500, $300 and $250 will be presented to the first, second and third place winners in each category, respectively.  In addition, one author of the winning paper in each category will have the chance to present their papers at the AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit in January, 2010.

Attendance to this year's conference is open to all regional undergraduate and graduate student members of AIAA, faculty members from universities with AIAA student chapters, professional members of AIAA, invited guests and judges.

In addition to the competition, the conference provides a venue for students, faculty and industry professionals to interact and discuss current aerospace topics while participating in local networking activities
